INTERVIEW WITH STEPHANIE WITTER

Interview With
Stephanie Witter

 Interview with Author Stephanie Witter.

Congratulations on your new book 2B or not 2B. I can't wait to read it.

Hi Khloee, thank you. I look forward to reading what you think about it. I hope you’ll have as much fun as I had writing it.

Thank you for allowing me to interview you.

Question: What inspires you as an author?
Stephanie: To be honest, many things inspire me as an author. I’m not going to lie, my past, my life can be a pretty good inspiration for little tidbits here and there. But these don’t make stories, so I often find myself inspired by something I’ve heard on the news or talked about with some people. Sometimes it can be a song, sometimes a dream.
Anything and everything can inspire me and that’s why I’m currently with more book ideas than I have the time to write.

Q: What is one thing you have learnt since publishing books that you didn't before hand?
S: Well… If there’s one thing I knew but only realized the extent of recently it’s that you can put your heart into a story that will move you as an author, that doesn’t mean that other readers will feel it. It’s obvious that not everybody will be moved by the same things or will enjoy the same kind of stories, and honestly it’s a good thing otherwise things would be boring. But I discovered that I don’t have as much of a thick skin as I thought I had.
Also, I discovered that there are so many amazing people in the book world that it overshadows all the drama you can read about on social media. There are people willing to read my very rough drafts, people willing to spend hours sharing my news just because they’re passionate. It’s inspiring and it truly motivates me.
I also discovered that promoting is as important as the book itself. I naïvely used to think that if readers enjoyed a book others would hear about it. What a fool I was! There are so many books being released at the same time, most of them written by more well-known authors that it’s very difficult to get the word out about your own book. So, promoting is a very important key, something I’m not very good at.
Being an author is also being a multi-tasker which is overwhelming most of the time and yet so very thrilling.

Q: What did you enjoy about writing 2B or not 2B?
S: I wrote 2B OR NOT 2B? just after I was finished with PATCH UP. Since PATCH UP is a dark story and was very emotionally taxing to write, I needed something lighter to chill and have just plain old fun with. I would have never thought I’d be laughing while writing some of London’s dialogue or the banters between London and Byron. I think that’s the thing I enjoyed the most. Writing things that I’m not used to, things that make me blush, things that make me laugh just because my characters are being silly or just naughty.
Also, writing something different is exciting. And London doesn’t have a boring bone in her body!

Q: Your book Patch Up is about abuse, what made you choose that topic?
S: It’s a theme I’ve always wanted to tackle as tough as it is. I know women who have been in that kind of relationships, I also know people who used to be depressed and I wanted to write about that. Is it to give hope to people going through this? Maybe. Is it because I think we’re not talking about this enough? Probably. Do I think it’s not tackled enough in books? Yes.
Abuse is something that hits close to home, that touches me deeply and I wanted to have my own take on this with characters that move me.
I love writing stories that deeply move me and I love writing about flawed and broken characters looking for their own hope, their own path.
I think PATCH UP will always be my most personal book for many reasons.

Q: What got you into writing such enticing books?
S: Thank you for saying they’re enticing.
I don’t really know what made me start writing. I guess it was a slow process. I’ve always been very into books. As a kid you couldn’t make me leave home without one of my books - and it’s still the case. Reading is a fabulous outlet, but at some point curiosity got the best of me and I started wondering what it’d be like to actually write books.
At first, I started reading many authors’ blog to get a feel of things because I had no idea of how to proceed. Then after a while I just couldn’t wait and I delved into it.
At first, I wrote in French, my mother tongue, but I couldn’t go beyond 3 to 5 chapters. So, I stopped and a few years later I tried writing in English and that’s when everything clicked. I couldn’t stop and I still can’t. Ideas started coming to me effortlessly, emotions filled me and a new passion took ahold of me.
Writing a story that makes me passionate is the most important, otherwise I know you’d feel it.

Q: What inspired By My Side?
S: I think it was a song that first made me think about Lily. I can’t remember which song though. I’m not that surprised because I’m always listening to music. I think I have as many songs on my iPod as I have ebooks on my kindle app and paperbacks on my shelves.
Once I had a vague idea of “who’’ Lily is, I couldn’t stop thinking about her sarcastic persona and everything slowly started to fall into place. I wrote everything by hand and I swore I’d never do it again.

Thank you a lot for having me on your blog.

UNCOVER ME

UNCOVER ME
By A. M. Hartnett

About The Book:

There's a heart inside every fantasy.

The photos are becoming a compulsion for Carrie. As soon as she wakes up, she feels the need to engage with the readers of her erotic website, Dirty Pictures. No matter how hard she tries to focus on her real life the need is always there. The high is knowing that men desire her.

One day a comment on her erotic website makes Carrie go cold: one of her readers, Brendan, has recognised a landmark in the window of one of her pictures. Brendan knows where to find her and has sent a tantalising private message. His invitation to play was so tempting in no time at all, in a variety of settings, their sensual adventures become wild. Her sexual and emotional reawakening reaches peaks she never imagined possible.

But Carrie finds it difficult to treat their relationship as casual. Terrified of heartbreak, she breaks off her affair with Brendan. Her previous relationship left her in tatters and she’s too scared to take such a chance again. Brendan endured a broken marriage so she’s not alone in her confusion and reticence. But can Carrie ever hope to be more than his fantasy girl?

My Review:

Great book, quirky characters.
It's hot, it's sexy, it very raunchy and also has humour that can knock your socks off. Who doesn't love a book with all of the above?
I'm rather speechless on how to review this book...apart from say it was a great read, i'm really glad i read it, and i would recommend it to every single one of my friends :)
Definitely a must read!

Brendan...another book boyfriend, another alpha male.

Carrie....A self obsessed woman, who takes sexy and raunchy pics of herself for her online blog under and alias of Maggie.

To different people, yet they're both super confident with themselves and together.

Again a must read! Especially for people who enjoy 50 shades triliogy, Olivia Cunnings, Lorelei James, Sylvia Day, meredith Wild etc.

ROUGH AND TUMBLE

ROUGH AND TUMBLE
By Crystal Green

About The Book:

On the dusty outskirts of Vegas, there’s a down and dirty saloon where all sorts of lethally charming—and genuinely dangerous—men carouse to seduce the women who happen to venture inside on their way to and from Sin City.

After Molly Preston flees a dead-end job with a lecherous boss, she finds herself in even hotter water after one of her best friends makes the wrong bet in a poker game with a sexy bad boy drifter in a backroom of the Rough & Tumble.

The man’s name is Cash. And he offers Molly an indecent proposal—one hot night with him—that could erase her friend’s debt to him in one fell swoop. She wants to say yes, even if this electrifying man seems just as unsafe as he is tempting.

One night becomes two...then more...and soon Molly is road tripping with Cash in the desert and exploring boundaries she never knew existed. But will indulging in this kind of pleasure leave her “normal” life in the dust?

My Review:

Absolutely loved this book! What an amazing read! The only problem I had with the story was the character of Sofia....Her attitude stank towards Molly the whole way through...like she was playing mum? I can understand the concern with Arden.
Cash, wow, another Alpha Male I can add to my book boyfriends list...he's smokin hot, with a rugged edge and a distant attitude, yet pushy and fun all at one. He's the master of contradictions, but an amazing character!
I'd definitely read this book again and again and again...and recommend to it to all my friends and author's I know and speak to also.

This book made me laugh a fair few times through which is hard to do in a book.
This story had everything from Humour to Sadness, Drama to Fun. AMAZING!

DOM WARS #1

DOM WARS #1
By Lucian Bane

About that book:

Lucian Bane’s inner Dom is out of control and hungry for things he can’t name. When he signs up for Dom Wars, he meets Tara who is naive to the BDSM world. Her reckless dominance and puritan heart fascinate him. But when he discovers the pain in her past, it unleashes his true Dom within.

My Review:

hehe....this book made me giggle a few times with Tara's stubbornness! but wow her self defence is flawless! if you don't believe in true love...you will after this book.
definitely and eye opener to different styles of Doms that's for sure, its not all about pain vs pleasure. and damn I would mind myself a tame one haha! time for dom wars: round 2.....can't wait to see what happens!

I like how he uses his own name as the character....though it has definitely put pictures in my head :)

2B OR NOT 2B?

2B OR NOT 2B?
By Stephanie Witter.

About the book:

London Reed is on the hunt for a place to live before the start of her second year in college. Either she is successful and can enjoy her student life without the pressure of her parents breathing down her neck, or she goes back home and clashes with her parents.

Because London doesn’t have a filter.

''You’re a weird one, aren’t you?''

She basically tells it as she sees it. So when she meets the hunky and scarred guy who lives in apartment 2B, the last apartment on her exhausting list, she’s sure to bring some crazy in his life.

But he’s determined to not take a girl for a roommate.

"I have nothing against you, but I don't see this working for me."

London doesn’t give up that easily and makes a deal with him. If she makes it for two months, she’s in for the whole year. If not, then she leaves to never contact him again.

Easy, right? Not so much.

"You should have told me that you wanted me to be all over you."

When a guy and a girl live under the same roof, it’s bound to complicate things. Between banters, heady games of seduction, innuendos and insecurities revealed, the life in apartment 2B isn’t simple, and a few slips in their relationship doesn’t help the matter.

"You're driving me completely nuts. That's my fucking problem."

***No cliffhanger.

My Review:

This story had me in stitches from the get go with a animated banter between London and Byron. London's personality could make anyone love her...She's bubbly, fun, up-front, blue and deep down she's definitely a hopeless romantic...even if it's in her head :P
Byron, the ex-soldier, strong, sexy, rugged and rough with a short fuse...They're so wrong for each other but so right at the same time.

I'm glad I finally read a book where the main character isn't stick thin as well! Yeahh London way be self consious, and a little chubby, but her personality and mind matter more then looks.

Wish Byron wasn't so damn moody all the time though, the grumpy git. But that's what made him HIM.

Definitely would recommend this! Was definitely worth the wait!!!! And i would most certainly read it all over again!

I laughed the whole way through..another book I'm glad I read at home and not on a bus haha! Can imagine the looks!

A bubbly, light book that draws you in from the start!!!!!!

My Review:

Absolutely Phenomenal! This book keeps the readers entertained and left in anticipation. A heart pounding ending to an amazing story.
If your a fan of Olivia Cunnings, this is definitely a book for you.
A story of a normal young lady and a bad boy rock star. What more can you want in a raunchy book?

LORELEI JAMES

LORELEI JAMES

I don't really know where to start with Lorelei James. Her western series of ROUGH RIDERS is fan-fucking-tastic! But, once again, there are so many in the series that it will take months to do it all.
I was never into westerns, movies or books, but these blew my socks away completely!!

I WANT MY VERY OWN HOW COWBOY
(preferably a Mckay ;)  )

I found it extremely hard to put these books down, they're entrancing, intense and sexy as all out!

Here is LORELEI JAMES' goodreads page, I highly recommend these books to anything who likes CONTEMPORARY ROMACE, EROTICA, etc.

OLIVIA CUNNING

OLIVIA CUNNING

Olivia Cunning has wrote quite a few book so it will take me a LONG time if i went through them one by one!
But this author merits a say with her Smoking Hot, Rock star books. With brilliant storyline and just the right amount of raunch to get one going!

***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!***

Here is her goodreads page, I'll let you decide :)

THE DRIVEN SERIES

THE DRIVEN SERIES
By K. Bromberg

About the books:

DRIVEN: Rylee Thomas is used to being in control. But she’s about to meet the one man that just might make her enjoy losing it…

I am the exception to the rule.

In a world full of willing women, I’m a challenge to the roguish and achingly handsome Colton Donavan. A man used to getting exactly what he wants in all aspects of life. He’s the reckless bad boy constantly skating that razor thin edge toward out of control, on and off of the track.

Colton crashes into my life like a tornado: sapping my control, testing my vulnerabilities beyond their limits, and unintentionally penetrating the protective wall around my healing heart. Tearing apart the world I rebuilt so carefully with structure, predictability, and discipline.

I can’t give him what he wants and he can’t give me what I need. But after a glimpse beneath his refined exterior into the dark secrets of his damaged soul, can I bring myself to walk away?

Our sexual chemistry is undeniable. Our individual need for complete control is irrefutable. But when our worlds collide, is the chemistry enough to bring us together or will our untold secrets and battle of wills force us apart?

FUELED: Book #2 of the Driven Trilogy

What happens when the one person you never expected suddenly happens to be the one you’ll fight the hardest to keep?

Colton stole my heart. He wasn't supposed to, and I sure as hell didn't want him to, but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist.

Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don't think I'll ever be the same. She's seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she's still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint, and I am most definitely the sinner.

How is it the one thing neither of us wanted—neither of us anticipated that fateful night—has us fighting so hard to keep?

He steals my breath, stops my heart, and brings me back to life again all in a split second of time. But how can I love a man who won't let me in? Who continually pushes me away to prevent me from seeing the damaged secrets in his past? My heart has fallen, but patience and forgiveness can only go so far.

How can I desire a woman who unnerves me, defies me, and forces me to see that in the deep, black abyss of my soul there's someone worthy of her love? A place and person I swore I'd never be again. Her selfless heart and sexy body deserve so much more than I'll ever be capable of giving her. I know I can't be what she needs, so why can't I just let her go?

We are driven by need and fueled with desire, but is that enough for us to crash into love?

CRASHED: When life crashes down around us, how hard are we willing to fight for the one thing we can’t live without, each other?

Life is full of moments.
Big moments.
Little moments.
And none of them are inconsequential.
Every single moment prepares you for that one instance that defines your life. You must overcome all your fears, confront the demons that chase you, and cleanse the poison that clings to your soul or you risk the chance of losing everything.

Mine started the minute Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet. She made me feel. Made me whole when all I thought I could ever be was incomplete. Became the lifeline I never knew I needed. Hell yes, she’s worth the fight…but how do you fight for someone you know you don’t deserve?

Love is full of ups and downs.
Heart stopping highs.
Soul shattering lows.
And none of them are insignificant.
Love is a racecourse of unexpected twists and turns that must be negotiated. You have to break down walls, learn to trust, and heal from your past in order to win. But sometimes it’s the expected that’s the hardest to hold on to.

Colton has healed and completed me, stolen my heart, and made me realize our love’s not predictable nor perfect—it’s bent. And bent’s okay. But when outside factors put our relationship to the test, what lengths will I have to go to prove to him that he’s worth the fight?

Whoever said love is patient and love is kind, never met the two of us. We know our love is worth it—have acknowledged that we were meant to be—but when our pasts crash into our future, will the repercussions make us stronger or break us apart?

My Reviews:

DRIVEN: Well....What can I say about the first book in the trilogy?

It took my almost half the book to actually start getting into it....and by the time I got to the end I couldn't put it down.

I think the author was trying too hard with the use of adjectives and describing things a little too much....But this is her first book so you can't really fault her.

I did enjoy it in the end....In the middle I got a little annoyed because it seems all Colton and Rylee were doing is fighting non-stop and it was really irritating.

Enough said....Time for "FUELED"

FUELED: WOW WOW WOW and WOW!!

Such an amazing turn around from the first book!!
I laughed, I cried, I got angry which in turn made me scream at the book itself! Wow! SO many emotions in one book!

100% better written then the first book as K. Bromberg wasn't trying as hard as she was with the first book....Which made this book fantastic!
Doesn't everyone just want a bit of Colton Donavan? The bad boy? ACE?
mmmmmm yes please!!!
What makes this story so emotional is the fights, the fear, and the cattyness....but what an amazing woman is Rylee Thomas?! Stands her ground til the very end AND some!

Love this book and looking forward to the 3rd and final book in this series! <3

CRASHED: This book made me cry...not as much as Stephanie Witter's PATCH UP, but This book is definitely full of heart wrenching emotions!
Can't believe the improvement on Fueled and Crashed after the first book wasn't so great at all!
But I would definitely recommend this series to anyone with a strong heart and firm head!
